Brunswick Care provides home care, home support and therapy services for children and families in the Brighton and Hove area of Sussex.

Children Care Services

Supporting the Development of your Child...

We work with children and young people who may have a physical or learning disability, a mental health concern, behavioral problems, or with a short or long term health problem.

We also support parents needing additional support in caring for a child, an infant or young person to ensure the developmental needs of the child are fully met.

Our team work with children and young people with a wide range of issues including physical disability and illness, autism, ADHD, aspergers syndrome, conduct disorders and challenging behaviour, oppositional defiance disorder, prader willi syndrome, impulse control disorders, learning disabilities and eating disorders.

Our services include help with everyday tasks such as getting ready for school or bed, preparing meals, preparing clothes and changing bedding, personal care tasks such as toileting, bathing and feeding and supportive tasks such as helping with hobbies, interests and social activities.

Specialist Therapy Services...

Brunswick Care also offer more specialist services such as behavioural management, psychological interventions, parenting programmes, life and social skills training and individually tailored treatment programmes.

Our therapy services provide a range of therapeutic interventions for children, young people and families including counselling and psychotherapy, play therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), behavioural management treatment plans, anger management, speech therapy, non-legal mediation, DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy), structured parenting programmes and family therapy.

Therapy is either provided at our therapy centre in Brighton and Hove or at our clients own home.

Providing Care that is Effective...

Depending on the needs of the family, we provide either ongoing care and support, or occasional respite care which provides a short and necessary break from the demands of providing care for a child.

Following a comprehensive assessment of the child or young person’s needs by our Care Manager, we create a detailed “Care Plan” which outlines the tasks required to ensure that the care we provide is beneficial and purposeful.

We work in collaboration with the parents and carers of each child, to ensure that we effectively complement and support each other and to ensure that the needs and wishes of the parents and child are met.

Our staff are competent and committed professionals who have received extensive training in care and who can be trusted to safeguard the needs of each child.

We are passionate about working with children and young people and provide a safe, caring service where children are nurtured, valued and supported in achieving their potential.
